PostSubject: [Guide] The path of the Bishops!   Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:07 pm

Bishops are quite often made as a first character, mainly because of their ability to leech other players for mesos (or for no mesos). They get the exp-boosting skill Holy Symbol at 3rd job which gives 1,5x exp for the players in your party. They get the ultimate skill Genesis at 4th job, which hits 15 monsters. HS and Genesis will be your mostly used skills.

It's suggested to finish the short (it IS short) explanation and training session when you join the server (you will get 3 Super Megaphones and 500k mesos). After you're done with the tutorial, go to Henesys Hunting Ground and train till level 8. Now you can become a Magician, the 1st job (@cody will open the job advancement NPC). Now you are wondering why are you still using a sword and how do you put your AP (Ability Points) and SP (Skill Points). Don't worry, I'll tell you how to use your AP and SP the right way. Now let's take a look at the builds below.

[SKILL POINTS]
Spoiler:

You should have your points spent like this:

Improved MP Recovery: MAX
Improved MaxMP Increase: MAX
Magic Guard: MAX
Magic Claw: MAX
Energy Bolt: 1

[ABILITY POINTS]

<LUKless build>
You will add all the APs you get in INT.

<Normal build; Wand>
Spoiler:

<Normal build; Staff>
Spoiler:

{NOTICE} You should try to add your APs each time and right after you level up. That way you will get maximum MP. Also, that applies to your SP in the first levels, because of Improved MaxMP Increase. After it's max, you don't have to worry about it later.

[TRAINING PLACES]
Level 8 - Level 20: Henesys Hunting Ground I, II & III
(Level 20 - Level 30: Rotten Skeletons in the Mansion)
Level 20 - Level 25: Bubblings (found in @spinel at monster maps)
Level 25 - Level 30: Wild Boars (found in @spinel at monster maps, go to land 2 because there's no Jr. Boogies)

This applies to both normal builds. As a LUKless, you can go on the monsters from 2 to 5 levels earlier.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are doing well, huh? You have reached the 2nd job, Cleric, which will give you a few useful skills, for example Heal, Bless, Invincibility, Teleport and MP Eater. Let's take a look at the builds below.

[SKILL POINTS]
Spoiler:

You should have your points spent like this:
Teleport (MAX)
Heal (MAX)
MP Eater (MAX)
Bless (MAX)
Invincible (MAX)
Holy Arrow (11)

[ABILITY POINTS)

<LUKless build>
You will add all the APs you get in INT.

<Normal build; Wand>
Spoiler:

<Normal build; Staff>
Spoiler:

[TRAINING PLACES]
Level 30 - Level 40: Rotten Skeletons
Level 40 - Level 45: Jr. Wraiths
Level 45 - Level 5x: Scarecrows
Level 5x - Level 70: Ghost Ship (found from @spinel -> monster maps -> Mysterious Path 3, go inside the ship)
Level 65 - Level 70: Party at Jesters
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 70 Priest, huh? Now you get access to the cool stuff, Holy Symbol. It will grant an 1.5x exp for you and your party members. At this point you should party as much as possible, and people usually want HS for faster training (sadly not so many people respect the party training before bosses here without taking payment). But, try your luck!

I will not make the AP distribution tables anymore, you should have got the hang of how to add points from now on to wield your weapons.

[SKILL POINTS]
Spoiler:

From now on, just max the other skills besides Doom in any order you want. They aren't so useful here.

You should have your points spent like this:
Holy Symbol (MAX)
Shining Ray (MAX)
Elemental Resistance (MAX)
Dispel (MAX)
Summon Dragon (MAX)
Mystic Door (MAX)

[TRAINING PLACES]
Level 7x - Level 9x: Jesters in a party, GS solo / party
Level 9x - Level 11x: Galloperas (@spinel -> monster maps -> Entrance to the Spooky World)
Level 11x - Level 12x: HS people at bosses, grind at Galloperas or party at Skeles (@go skelegon)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 120, finally! Now it's time to get Genesis and it will be your turn to train them. Smile

[SKILL POINTS]
Absolutely max Genesis first. This will be your main skill all the way to 200.
After Genesis max Maple Warrior. +15% stats, free damage? SURE!
After Maple Warrior, max Resurrection, You may revive your party members if they die at bosses!
And from now on, max them in the order you want.

[TRAINING PLACES]
Level 12x - Level 13x: Papulatus party or Jesters.
Level 13x - Level 200: Bosses, Gallos, Skeles. Those will be your training places for the rest of your life as a bishop. Smile

Now you can leech people and go bossing etc. Have fun!
